About I. Christie

I was born January 9, 1948 in Hollywood, California as Christine Irene Rapoza, thus the name I. Christie. My mother is from Paris, France and my father from Fall River, Mass. I’ve learned neither French or Portuguese.

I started writing short stories in sixth grade, then poems which became long odes. I became serious about writing and sharing my stories when someone introduced me to Xena and her fan fic. It opened up my world. Blessings to Fan Fic websites.

I like to mix up my creative juices with art in beading, painting, embroidery, woodcarving, jewelry making, and whatever else may catch my attention while I’m in the art store or on YouTube.

When I retired I moved out of Southern California taking my family of pets with me, dog, birds, and cats. I now own a perfect house with a perfect backyard and have perfect neighbors. 😉 LOL.

Two years after I retired I started volunteer work at Equine Outreach a horse rescue ranch. I am in heaven.

I share my household with Charlie, a tri-colored Aussie/Sheltie; Kahvi, a merle Aussie/Blue Heeler (Sara, my golden lab/greyhound mix dog died of bloated stomach in 6/2013. RIP); 4 cats, (Cleopatra, Cagney, Lacey and Maggie;) 3 parakeets; and whatever the cats and dogs drag in.

If you wish to see my sweet family and friends at Equine Outreach, I’m on Facebook and so is Equine Outreach Horse Rescue.

Blessings to you all.

Namaste,

Christie

The meaning of namaste:

I honor the place in you
in which the entire Universe dwells,

I honor the place in you
which is of Love, of Truth, of Light and of Peace,

When you are in that place in you,
and I am in that place in me,
we are One.
